GDPR and CCPA

This document describes how Axel Networks complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and how to exercise your rights under each.

GDPR Overview

The General Data Protection Regulation applies to the processing of personal data of individuals in the European Economic Area. Axel Networks processes EEA personal data as a data processor on behalf of our enterprise customers and as a data controller for our own operational and marketing activities.

Legal Basis for Processing

We process personal data under the following legal bases:

• Contract performance: Processing necessary to deliver services under our customer agreements
• Legitimate interests: Operating our business, improving our services, and protecting our network
• Legal obligation: Complying with applicable laws and law enforcement requests
• Consent: Where explicitly obtained, such as for marketing communications

Your GDPR Rights

If you are in the EEA, you have the following rights:

• Right of access to personal data we hold about you
• Right to rectification of inaccurate data
• Right to erasure in certain circumstances
• Right to restriction of processing
• Right to data portability
• Right to object to processing based on legitimate interests
• Right to withdraw consent at any time

International Data Transfers

Axel Networks is based in the United States Virgin Islands. When processing personal data of EEA residents, we ensure appropriate transfer mechanisms are in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.

CCPA Overview

The California Consumer Privacy Act grants California residents specific rights with respect to their personal information. Axel Networks complies with CCPA requirements as applicable to our business activities.

Your CCPA Rights

California residents have the right to:

• Know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell
• Request deletion of personal information we have collected
• Opt out of the sale of personal information
• Non-discrimination for exercising CCPA rights
